MOCAfest Alumni Spotlight: Saif Aldamen

Born in Jordan, Saif Aldamen grew up in Malaysia where he started dancing in 2004 as a B-boy and House Dancer. Without a shadow of a doubt, Saif has earned a reputation for being one of the founders of House and Hip-hop Dance in Malaysia, Yemen and Jordan.

He has performed and choreographed shows for many international artists including USHER (2010), FLO-RIDA (2009, 2010, 2011), NE-YO (2010), EMA HEWITT (2012), BLACK EYED PEASE(2009), COLBY O’DONIS (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011), AKON (2010), SEAN KINGSTONE (2010), MIZZNINA (2008, 2009, 2010, 2011), PHARELL WILLIAMS (2009).

In addition, he’s been invited to perform and teach at festivals around the region such as Lebanon salsa mafia festival (2013), Lebanon dance festival (2013), Bahrain salsa festival (2013), Berlin salsa festival (2013), Dubai dance festival (2013).

Throughout Saif’s career, he has also choreographed stunts and moves for Bollywood movies such as Orange, Goa and Mahesh Babbu. He has travelled the world judging numerous competitions and has taught hip-hop and House in places like Malaysia, Jordan, Korea, Yemen, Singapore, India, Australia, Thailand, Indonesia, UAE, Bahrain and Russia.

In 2012, Saif moved back home to the Middle East and worked with several Arabic singers choreographing, dancing, and opening for artists like Wael Kafouri, Mohmmed Ramadan, and Maya Diab. He also made a guest appearance on the Jordanian show Bath bayakha.

The most recent addition to his dance style is Salsa. He is the first to introduce the creative mix of ‘Salsa House’ to the region. Saif now resides between Malayisa , Qatar and UAE where he runs workshops and teaching various dance forms.
